All Saints' Church, South Cave

All Saints Church

Welcome to All Saints’ Church in South Cave.

We meet weekly for worship in the church building and adjoining hall (All Saints Community Centre). Our church is a local ecumenical partnership between the Anglican Church and Methodist Church and our regular services vary in styles and have something for everyone from more traditional services to monthly Cafe style services. Accessibility- Both our Church and Community Centre are accessible to those who use wheelchairs. We also have a wheelchair available on site if required.

Lifting of restrictions (Covid-19) for Parish Churches

As we approach the first Sunday (25th July) when the lifting of restrictions for places of worship come in, I thought it might be helpful for me to explain how the guidance will be applied in our churches. You may wish to look at the detailed guidance for the Church of England.  https://churchofengland.org/coronavirus
Having been in discussion with Churchwardens, members of our congregations and Deanery colleagues, I think the following way forward might be appropriate for now.
Wearing of face covering.  Although this is no longer mandatory many may still wish to wear face coverings when attending church. Each Church will continue to supply disposable face coverings.
Hand Sanitizer. Please continue to make use of the sanitizer provided as you enter and leave church.
Track and Trace. Churches are no longer required to record the details of those who attend worship.
Seating arrangements. All seating will be reinstated allowing for the same capacity, as per pre Covid restrictions. Although social distancing requirements no longer apply, it is important to be aware of the need for appropriate space and to be sensitive to others.
Singing in Church. This is now permissible and is to be enjoyed, again appropriate distancing should be observed. Some may wish to keep faces coverings on whilst singing.
Receiving from the common cup. For the time being we will continue to administer communion in the one kind. This will be under review, and we look to our Bishop for guidance as to when it might be wise to consider receiving in both kinds.
The sharing of the Peace. We will retain the current practice of offering a ‘sign of peace’ as we have done for some time now. This will also be reviewed in due course.
I hope the above summary is helpful. I think we would do well to both enjoy the relaxations and at the same time to proceed with caution.
Every Blessing. Revd Mike Proctor.
